France Sep 2013, Day two

Day two 9th Sep

I was up during the night in pain but eventually the pain killers and cups of tea start to do there job, this had become a routine at home and on our last trip away to Cornwall.

First job was to get the satellite and TV working, it didn't take long at all, it is usually easier setting up in a place you have done it before and I had set up the satellite several times on this site over the years.

We needed to do a shop for the week, the closest Lidl was in Soissons about ten mile away (I had checked) and we knew round about where it was. We took the back roads rather than follow the satnav and it was a shorter drive our way.

We had filled the fuel tank the day before we set of, so we had the full 60 litres and it was enough for the 480 miles or so to the canpsite. In the end last time we had enough for another week of short trips and eventually got over 600 miles on the one tank. I was hoping for the same this time.

It wasn't very warm and it started to rain as we got to Lidl, we had planned to get the shopping and then have a walk in Soissons but the weather put paid to that idea. So we just drove the main road back to the site in the poring rain.

The weather was a bit of a downer and I do not remember doing anything else that day, I certainly don't have any photos. I think we just had comfort foods, drank beer / wine and watched films on TV.

Day One or Day Three
