Wouldn't you know it, a lovely fine day for driving home.
We have spent a total of four weeks in France this year and the weather has not been very good for most of our time there. We have had spells of good, even hot weather and even been sunburnt but overall it had been pretty poor.
Two firsts for France this year, we have not had a BBQ and we have not been in the pool, remember we have been here for a month altogether.
Has it put us off coming to France in the future, I don't think so.
I had, had little sleep, had taken painkillers and got fairly drowsy while driving but managed to get us to the port just in time to see the earlier ferry leaving. We had a two hour wait for our ferry, only we didn't really it was less than an hour before it arrived and we were on within the next half hour.
On the ferry I had a drink for a change as Dot was going to drive the rest of the way home.
